Satyanarayan Puja Prasad Prepration – सत्यनारायण पूजा प्रसाद की तैयारी

Satyanarayan Puja or Satyanarayan Vrata is an auspicious Hindu religious observance that is followed on special occasions like house entry ceremony, marriage, and naming ceremony.

This puja can be done anywhere in-home or temple on any day regardless of the reason. Satyanarayan Puja is commonly done on the Poornima day (Full Moon) of every month or the month in which you wish to perform.

The Satyanarayan Puja starts with a prayer of Lord Ganesha who is considered as an abolisher of all difficulties. The puja is done by chanting the Lord Ganesha mantras and offering his favorite Prasad Modaka and Ladoo.

Once after the Ganesha Puja, devotees would start reading Satyanarayan Katha which consists of 5 chapters. After completing all 5 chapters in Satyanarayan Swami Katha, Prasad will be distributed to all devotees and observers who participated in the puja.

Satyanarayan Puja Prasad is made up of Ghee, semolina, sugar, milk and etc. Another prasad is called Satyanarayan Maha Puja Prasad which is similar to Sajige or Halwa or Semolina Sheera.

Ingredients to prepare Satyanarayan Puja Prasad

  1. Ghee ¼ Cup
  2. Milk 2 ½ Cups
  3. Chiroti Rava/Sooji 1 Cup
  4. Sugar 1 Cup
  5. Cashews and Raisins
  6. Cardamoms 2

Instructions to prepare Satyanarayan Puja Prasad

  1. Place a thick bottomed bowl or kadhai on medium flame and add 4tbsp of Ghee in the kadhai.
  2. Add raisins and cashews with melted Ghee, fry them till it achieves a golden color, and transfers it to another plate.
  3. Roast the Chiroti Rava or Semolina in the same kadhai to make it as sticky and get a nice smell.
  4. In the same kadhai, add 2 cups of milk and make it boil. Then add 1 cup of sugar to the milk which is boiled well and wait for sometimes to dissolve the sugar completely in milk.
  5. Now add roasted Rava or Semolina to the boiled milk and stir constantly.
  6. Cook for at least 4-5 minutes to get milk evaporated properly.
  7. Add roasted Raisins, cashews, finely powdered Cardamom, and remaining Ghee to the mixture and stir well.
  8. Finally, the tastiest Satyanarayan Puja Prasad Preparation completed and it’s ready to offer to Lord Ganesha.

Satyanarayan Puja Prasad Preparation process takes very little time. Semolina Halwa is very favorable for many Hindus because of its tastes and can be stored in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
